The Sacred Spaces in our first issue was the regular feature that generated the most positive feedback. We are following that feature up with a truly inspiring place of both natural and man-made beauty.
The current issue of The Bock Review introduces our readers to an amazing and yet virtually unknown spiritual and artistic sacred space hidden in the Red Rock Country of Sedona, Arizona. We are, of course, referring to the St. John Vianney Catholic Church. This church is home an assortment of amazing religious sculptures displayed in open gardens set amongst the majestic red rocks the region is known for.

Welcome back! Our Fall issue has been uploaded to the printer and is now available for preview and purchase.
This issue features a Comic-Con how-to for those of you still unsure on how to purchase Comic-Con membership badges. Remember, it ain't easy but it is possible.
Of course, you can expect to see lots of photos we shot at this year's Comic-Con International: San Diego.
To the immediate right is Silver Surfer from this year's con. We were so impressed with this guy that we put him on the cover.
At an event like San Diego Comic-Con, we hand out a lot of business cards each day. If we give out 50 cards, we're lucky if we get a handful of responses. This year's Con experience was no different. Seven staff members from The Bock Review attended different days at SDCC and as a group handed out several dozen cards. When one of our staff photographs and interviews someone, we always hand out one of our nifty business cards so that the person we photograph can contact us and provide whatever they would like to have shared with their photograph. The first person to actually contact us from this year's SDCC was none other than Samuel Cuevas of Chula Vista, California. Samuel's son, Nathan Cuevas, appears in our SDCC photo spread in his Joker cosplay costume. Be sure and check his photo out.

Here in Southern California we are famous for our beaches, our theme parks and the motion picture industry. It's easy to forget that California is also an agriculturally rich region.
Our very own Maria Bravo and her devoted husband Steven bring us a report from the annual Lavender Festival in Cherry Valley, California, complete with photos and all the information you need to check this family friendly event out and possibly make plans to attend in 2018. Some of our staff had the honor of attending the second annual Palm Springs Comic-Con held at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California and bumped into an old acquaintance with a new friend. Acclaimed artist and author Robert Aragon has been busy creating adventures with his newest friend, Cuddles T. Bear. We hope you take a few minutes and accept our invitation to meet Robert and his young friend, a tiny teddy named "Cuds," and share some of the light and love these two are bringing to a weary and strife filled world.
